This design has been taken from a carved embossed slab of stone mounted on a window sill in Neven church West Wales no date has been established for the carving but there is a similar slab of stone on a adjacent window sill which has Mael Gwyn carved into it. Mael Gwyn was a 6th century king of North wales.
