Artist Profile
The Full Story
Born in Cardiff on June 6, 1960, at exactly 6 a.m.—a striking coincidence in timing—I am of Welsh, English, German, and Danish Jewish descent, embodying a rich and diverse European heritage.
I grew up in Cwmbran, where I continue to live, deeply inspired by the natural beauty that surrounds me. The trees, mountain springs, rivers, wildlife, and sky, along with the moon and stars, all play a part in shaping my creative vision.
The nearby Mynydd Maen (Stone Mountain), with its ancient archaeological sites, holds a special significance in my life and work.

My art is profoundly influenced by the landscape I call home, a fascination with architectural forms within it, as well as Celtic culture, religion, human spirituality, and the concept of divine creation.
Through my work, I aim to capture the essence of these elements, hoping to evoke a connection to our ancient roots.

Prior to my artistic career, I spent 16 years working in industry, a period that shaped my perspective but eventually gave way to my true calling as an artist.

I received my formal art education at Pontypool College of Further Education and Carmarthen University, where I studied illustration.
I have been influenced by many artists, too numerous to list, but I am deeply grateful to all of them for their inspiration.

My work is a blend of mixed media, incorporating acrylic, watercolor, pastels, ink, and graphite to explore and express the themes close to my heart.
